Get better at Math if I just keep _____________.

1.

Seven-year-old: My teacher says I'll get better at Math if I just keep __________.

- What would be natural to insert here (if anything)? "Practicing"?

Or would you go another way...

2.

Seven-year-old: My teacher says I'll get better at Math. I just have to study harder.

- Would "study" be natural here or is it only something you use about older kids on a higher educational level?

Thank you.
