get approval for overtime before doing a work

I would be again grateful if you could correct my English below. Thanks once again in advance.

As you may aware that we have been asked to follow the updated System Guide Version from 13 Aug 08. Please find the details below of this email.
According to this guide, we need to backup the D: drive for the post also when doing the monthly full System backup.
Last month, we did it the similar task and it took around 4 hours to complete it for one backup set. This means we have to work for extra hours on monthly basis.
I would be grateful if you could approve the overtime for me. Many thanks.

This is to inform you since from I have joined I have not taken off on Saturdays and also I have worked an extra hour on weekdays for the same I have not got overtime pay. as per the instruction is given to me to complete the backlog work.
