This is from Jery Seinfeld's SeinLanguage:

"The other thing I don't get about working out is why we're are so careful about locking up our dirty towels ...."

Does this mean, "The other thing I can't get close to figuring out is why we're are so careful about locking up our dirty towels ...."?

Oh! I got it! Somehow I was just focused on "get about" as a set phrase. Yes, "understand about pumping iron, running on the tread mills, etc. in gyms." Right.
