Get a lot out of it

Hello,
Is my sentence correct? If I say, ''Mary went to a museum, but the half of museum was under renovation. So, she couldn't get a lot out of it.'' Is my sentence clear what I mean?

Shall I say , she couldn't get pleasure out of seeing it.

Thank you.
