I think present perfect is better because I am still in the hotel and I think gerund is better As far as describing your experience with a hotel stay is concerned, chances are, " I' ve been very happy staying here", is not the appropriate response, not that it is wrong; it is just too textbook and it is used in the wrong context in my opinion. I think most people would say, when greeted by the hotel staff: " we hope you've enjoyed your stay", the natural choice of words would be something like:" I've enjoyed my stay very much. Thank you".
