0 Dear teacher , I’m slightly confused about the function and the priority of GERUND in the following sentences ; 02 br

00 a) The bureucracy “surrounding” the the whole procedure is also quite disconcerting. 02 br

00 b) An oil palm plantation “neighbouring” their village of Kayan here. 02 br

00 c) I do realize that a journalist has been always in a hurry “catching” news… 02 br

00 My question is : Is it eligible in the sense of grammar and formal english if we replace “surrounding” , “neighbouring” and “catching” with “that surrounds” , “that neihbours” and “to catch” ?. 0-
