Who or why does someone put an "R" into words like "Warshing machine"? I have met 2 people from Illinois that speak like that, but maybe it's a coincidence. It makes "ah" become "arr..." Maybe it's a Pirate thing. The whole time they were saying "Ah, Matey..."

"warsh" for "wash" is actually quite common throughout the U.S., not just in Illinois.
