Genitive 's

Hi,
why is it ok to say 'it is our company policy', and 'it's our company's policy'? 'These are our school rules', 'here are your school's rules'. A strict interpretation of the rules would indicate that we should add 's, but being a native speaker, I know that both are correct.....help!
