General Writing task 1 - Complain to the landlord

Please help to correct my essay. Thank you in advance.

You and your family are living in rented accommodation in an English-speaking

country. You are not satisfied with the condition of some of the furniture.

Write a letter to your landlord. In your letter

· introduce yourself

· explain what is wrong with the furniture

· say what action you would like the landlord to take

Dear Mr.Thomas,

I am your tenant at the block 123 Green Park street, #04-20. We met each other when I

signed the rental agreement in your office.

I have lived here for 3 months now and I would like to express my dissatisfaction about

some of the furniture. As you may remember, the sofa in the living room had been used for

quite a long time and it had become battered. When I pointed it out to you, you promised

me that you would replace it with a brand new one. However, you have not done it yet and

I would like to resolve this matter as soon as possible.

Since I am not too picky, perhaps you could simply buy a cheap sofa. This would help you to

solve the problem without too much cost, so I hope you agree to this proposed solution.
