I'd like to know the difference between switch on/off and turn on/off.

As well, could you tell me whether the following sentences are both correct.

Hi, I'd like to know the difference between switch on/off and turn on/off. Often, there is no difference. But 'turn on/off' is commonly used in cases where we do not use or think of a switch.
