Well two questions actually....


1. 'the quality of sound'? or 'the quality of the sound'? which one is grammatically 'better'

2. 'looking for a replacement for something'

1. Neither is better. Both are grammatical.
2. Not a sentence. You need something like "I am looking for a replacement for something". Then it's a grammatically correct sentence.
