I have two questions, if I may. When quoting someone or something and the quote ends the sentence, do I put the period before or after the quotations? My other question is the same as the above but with parentheses instead of quotations.
Examples:
1. "He told us he could not do the job today". or is it ." 2. It was too late to go to the store (it was about 11 P.M.).
The second one is confusing to me because there is also a period after the "M." Thanks in advance.
