Do you know what 'old school' means? "Used, usually approvingly, to refer to someone or something that is traditional." Is that what you intend?

'Confess one's love' is fine.

Thanks. I meant old fashioned by old school(not sure if correctly). What I wanted to know is ,if in contemporary times people use "confess one's love" in conversations with friends. For example if a high school student tells his pal "She confessed her love for me." are there any chances of the latter saying "'Confess love'?really?dude you sounds so '70s".

Well, I'm from the 70s. I do not know what one high schooler would say to another todaay, but I doubt it would be very useful. I'm not sure they day 'dude' any more, for that
