Genealogy: First cousin twice removed

Hi~ This is a family tree.

I'm an ESL learner.

I can understand that my uncle's children is my first cousin.

BUT

I can't understand why first cousin's children is also my first cousin, and why my great uncle's children are my first cousin, and why my great great uncle's children are my first cousin; I know what 'removed' means.

and when I can tell this is my 2nd cousin or the 3rd cousin?

I'm so confused. I would happy if you explain this clearly.

Thank you~~[G]

H, I've never understood all this stuff either. It doesn't seem to come up much at all in everyday conversation. People often just speak of 'one of my relatives'.

People who are first cousins are of the same generation and their parents were siblings.
People who are second cousins are of the same generation and their grandparents were siblings.
People who are third cousins are of the same generations and their great-grandparent were si

Your great uncle is not your grandfather's 1st cousin.

No, your great-uncle is not your first cousin twice-removed. Your grandfather's 1st COUSIN would be your first cousin twice removed.
