Gdansk artist OR Gdansk's artist???

Question

Which one would you consider correct?Gdansk is a Polish city :-) so when I'm talking/writing about an artist from Gdansk which one would be correct?and one more thing concerning translation. In Poland we say sth like 'I bow to you all' when greeting a group of people, etc. By saying that we show more respect to our guests than just saying e.g. 'good morning, thank you for coming'.Can you think of any English equivalent of that 'I bow ...' :-)thank you

Gdansk artist or Gdansk's artist

Both are OK, but there are subtle differences in the meaning conveyed.

Gdansk artist This is adjectival. It just means that the artist lives in Gdansk.

Gdansk's artist This is possessive. It suggests that the the artist is valued by Gdansk, that he has some kind of good reputation there.

one more thing concerning translation. In Poland we say sth like 'I bow to you all' when greeting a group of people, etc. By saying that we show more respect to our guests than just saying e.g. 'good morning, thank you for coming'.

Can you think of any English equivalent of that 'I bow ...' :-) Nothing that would be commonly said. Our sense that we are all of equal worth keeps us from what might seem, to our ears, to be excessive politeness.It's not that we are disrespectful, we just don't show it in such a way.
