gaze

I didn't realize there was a foot on the beach until my dog turned his head and stared at it.

Can I describe the above as "my dog's gaze drew me to the foot"?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, Yes. If you are referring to the current story in the papers, they have now announced that it was an animal's foot. ie it was a rather unpleasant hoax.

I have heard. I wonder what's behind the feet.

Hi,
It's quite a big story here in Canada.
Some speculate that it may involve foul play. Others think that it may relate to people who have died in various plane crashes at sea.
