Gash vs cut

Dear teachers,

1. There left a gash in his head after the crash.

2. There left a cut on his head after the fall from tree.

Are they all correct, especially the word left after there?

Do I have to put an article in front of "tree"?

No, you can't use "there" like this. You can say:

The crash left him with a gash in his head.

He was left with a cut on his head after the fall from a/the tree.

The fall from a/the tree left him with a cut on his head.

You need an article before "tree".
