gardening

My dad loves gardening so much that he's bought too many different seeds. He isn't interested in doing anything else. Every day when he gets off work and comes home, he would go there first. He passes my mom, who always cooks dinner in the kitchen, and me, who watch TV or else in the dinning room. He is so obsessed with gardening. It seems to me that he finds very much joy gardening. He appreciates the every flower he plants such as rose, tulip, etc. I don't even know what kind of the flowers he planted because I seldom go there. As a matter of fact, I haven't been there since two years ago. Then, I remember, he planted some roses with his scoop. He explained to me how beautiful they are as if I'd really paid attention. I was not really interested in gardening because I felt that was boring. Sometimes he sat there for hours and read the newspaper. It is amazing how the little garden looks like today because it becomes so beautiful that I hardly recognize. Last time two days ago, I was there and I picked some flowers to my girlfriend.

Is the passage correct?

Thank you

Thank you very much, Doll,

Yes, I added it later.

He passes through my mom,

I thought 'pass' is an intransitive verb which cannot take the object.
