Question

What do you call a place/space in apartment buildings where you dispose of your garbage? It is a place with some garbage bins where residents can access to.

Examples
1) Garbage collection space
2) Garbage disposal space
Any good word to describe that?

'Trash' is a nicer word than 'garbage'.  I don't know of a specific word, but 'Trash Disposal Area' sounds reasonable.

In the US, a single family house would have trash cans, 30 gallon cylindrical containers that are filled with trash and then put out on the curb for pick up twice a week by government-owned garbage trucks.

Low-rise apartment buildings might also have trash cans that are picked up twice a week. Some have instead a single dumpster, a large rectangular container that the tenants put their trash in. This is emptied twice a week by a large truck (this truck is also called a dumpster), which is owned by a private trash collection company.

Moderately high-rise apartments and condos might also have trash cans or a dumpster into which the tenants put their trash. In very high-rise apartments and condos, the dumpster(s) are located under a long vertical chute that extends through all the floors of the building. Tenants then drop their trash into this chute (there's an opening for the chute on each floor) and the trash slides down into the dumpster.

In the US, the space where trash cans and dumpsters are located usually does not have a specific name, except for something general, like: the trash area, the dumpster space, the dumpster area.
