Gap

Can there be a gap in "time", or gap is only used for distance/space?

Top answer

We would use the word "gap" with time if we are talking about memory loss. I can't think of other uses for it.

Yes. 'gap' can be used for both space and time.

When you write your resume, be sure not to leave any gaps in time because the interviewer will be sure to ask you what you were doing during those time periods.
