Futurism

Does the highlighted section say that "Futuristic artworks in the genre of war art are a product of the technologies that are used in wars"?

Context:

While this book is not encyclopaedic, it does attempt to broaden the field beyond its association with high art and to counter certain prevalent assumptions about war art. While it looks at war art for what it is, it also notes the social, intellectual, cultural, political, and psychological contexts out of which it emerges. It also shows how the technology of war has permeated the history of war art as a whole – futurism, for example– and how war art has used technology – in more recent times, the electronic kind – to further its own specific messages.
