Hi
Please tell me if my understanding is OK.

I will stay with you till your father returns.

I think this denotes intention.

I will be staying with you till your father returns.

I think this denotes your plan.

The student had prepared a worksheet on verb tense where she had that sentence.(She had formulated the sentence and given the answer below. I wanted to give my comment on that.)

Here it is.
