I'm sure He will not use the car today. (???)

I'm sure He will not be using the car today. (this sounds like a plan)

I don't know the differences between them, could you help me? especially the first sentence.

Hi, There's not a lot of difference usually intended by the speaker. I'm sure He will not use the car today. ) Sounds more definite.

There's not a lot of difference usually intended by the speaker.

I'm sure He will not use the car today. (???) Sounds more definite. Sounds like it means 'not on any occcasion, for either long or short periods of time'.

I'm sure He will not be using the car today. Sounds less definite, more casual. Sounds more like 'Not for any long periods of time'
