Future Tense

Hello,

I would like to know if it is correct the next sentence:

"He said (yesterday) he will invite (tomorrow) me at dinner."

I know how to use the Future in the Past. But I am confussed in using a future action related to a past one.

Thank you.

"He said yesterday that he will/would invite me to/for dinner tomorrow."

This is reported or indirect speech, so it has to be shifted back a tense: "He said he would invite me for dinner."

It may be shifted back, but it needn't, ferdis, so long as the second event remains in the future. If it has passed, then the shift must occur:

He said last Saturday that he would invite me to dinner last Sunday.

Ok. I never learned that. All the examples I've ever seen always changed 'will' into 'would' for reported speech.
