Future perfect or just present tense?

Which version of the following sentence is correct?

"How old will you be, when you will have finished your master's degree?"

"How old will you be, when you finish your master's degree?"

I really don't know when to use the future perfect correctly. Of course in sentences like "I will have done this by the time you come home" the usage of it is quite clear but how about the sentence above?

Thx

How old will you be when you finish your master's degree? Note: No comma. 'when' doesn't work the same as 'by the time', so generally you won't need the future perfect in this kind of sentence.
