I saw a sentence written that " The party will have been starting when the guest arrives"
Does it mean the party will continue starting even if the second event happens?
It's so confusing to me.
I couldn't get it.

JumanahThe party will have been starting when the guest arrives.
That's a very strange sentence. I can understand why you didn't get it.

I suppose it means that at the time the guest arrives, everybody else will already have been busy doing things to get the party started.

I would not use a sentence like that.
