Future or Future perfect??

Which would you use here? Could you use both?

If I drop the food, I'll have not only wasted it but made a mess.

If I drop the food, I'll not only waste the food but make a mess.

Both are ok. I would probably change I think I'd add in a comma and the word "also". If I drop the food, I'll have not only wasted it, but also made a mess.
