Past experience and future goals describe any professional, academic, teaching, or volunteer experience related to your chosen field of study that has prepared you for this opportunity.
What are your career goals, and how will you help advance positive social change?
I completed four years at Tsukuba University in Japan with a great experience. I have trained myself for years to study in a foreign country. In addition, I would like to present myself as a model for highly educated women in my country and share my culture and experiences with other international students.
After completing my undergraduate in International Studies from the University of Tsukuba, I started looking for graduate schools, where I wanted to continue my studies in gender inequality where I can understand more deeply that area by working and become a professional worker who can contribute to society.
I want to apply for the .......program where it can help me to study deeper about Social Science, both personally and professionally. In order to help my country to build long term relationship with other countries in promoting gender equality for young women living in a rural area.
During my undergraduate program in Social Science, I formed the basis of my perseverance towards achieving an in-depth knowledge in the fields of Gender and Studies, Sustainable Development, Human Impact on Environment, Public Policy, and others. Motivated to learn more, I have taken classes from the liberal arts department as well as a broad range of academic disciplines related to Social Science. Also, I was a member of the Model United Nations club and actively participated in conferences that took part at Tsukuba University. I visited conversation series events which are organized by United Nations University.
Besides, I am a person that does not only persistently works hard academically, but also, I constantly try to improve my own community's quality of life by doing volunteer work. I often used to go to Omochi club (language exchange activity), where I try to connect my passion for education with my desire of helping others. Also, I always used to give presentations in the Japanese language at Japanese school called Takezono elementary school. I have to mention that I was part of a member of the ice-skating club, I am so glad that I am doing constantly sport, where I became more flexible with my Japanese speaking abilities. Also, I was a member part of Fit Chain group, where we try introducing basic physical activities not only for Japanese, also for foreign students. Also, I participated in the cultural program (International Foreign Musical Contest), which was organized by JICEF members. I had the privilege to represent not only my country also, the University of Tsukuba, where the main guests were royal family and more than 200 guests. Another big challenge for me was combining study and work. I have started part-time working at the International school in order to be able to pay my tuition fees, as I do not have any support from my family and relatives.
I would be grateful for the opportunity to be accepted in .... Award, so that I can continue on my pathway to become an individual who diversifies and become one of the best role models for my country and for the university.
In the future, I want to establish a non-profit organization named “Helping together”, which would provide college educational resources to all women, educators, and students regardless of immigration status. I believe that education should be a right not a privilege, and when I see that students are being denied the right of acquiring a college education, especially young girls and women I feel the need to take action.
I believe I deserve to be selected for .... Award, as a hard working person I commit myself to effectively take advantage of the opportunity that the scholarships would allow me to be more financially well of, so I would be able to fully dedicate myself to my upcoming graduate school.
