Is there a word to describe the process of funneling through an empty line for an attraction/ride/et al (ie: at Disneyland) even though no one is waiting in line? I remember seeing a word to describe this on a website as the "Word of the Day" but I forgot the word.

Hi, I can't think of a word like this. To me, 'a line' means 'a line of people'. Thus, it makes no sense to me to speak of 'an empty line'.

If there are no people, there is no line.
For example, if you went to the movie theatre lat night and there were no people in front of the ticket counter, would you say 'There was an empty line'?
