fund, text

Can the words "text" and "fund" be proceeded by "a" and numerals? Thanks.

Yes, but not always. Whenever having problems re countable/uncountable, see this Cambridge dictionary. U is uncountable, C is countable.

Thanks. I have visited the two sites you have offered. Still I don't not know when "a" or numerals can proceed "text", "fund".

I have great difficulty using "a" or numerals in front of words like text, fund, asset, facilitiy, textile, etc. They are often used in plural. I'd like to see some examples where the indefinitive article or numerals come in front of these words.

Whenever things are countable, you can use "a/an."

Thus you have to read that dictionary to see/learn which are the uses for which they are countable.

For examples, do your own searches at Google

say for:

"a fund"
(quotation marks are important)

I think the BNC is usually better than Google for reliable examples of usage.
BNC

Try searches there for these:

a fund
two funds
a text
two texts
