functional sentence types

I am trying to perform a detailed analysis and label the sentence functional type (intransitive, transitive, dative, copulative, factitive).  In the example: "Did you feel some snow then?" I am confused what to label it as "feel" is a sense verb so out of the above options, which sentence type would it fall under? Thanks so much!

Top answer

'Feel' in that sense is transitive. I felt sick = copulative I felt her hand = transitive ('hand' is DO).

  • 'Feel' in that sense is transitive.
  • I felt sick = copulative I felt her hand = transitive ('hand' is DO).
