Please read:

a. Kim's fun to have as a roommate.

1/ If both are correct, what is the difference in menaing between them?

2/ If only sentence a is correct, why is sentence a correct? Why is sentence b incorrect? What is the meaning of (a)?

2/ If only sentence a is correct, why is sentence a correct? Can you be more specific about what you don't understand? eg Do you understand the sentence 'Kim is fun'?

Only the first sentence is correct.

Kim is fun/amusing to have as a roommate.

Having Kim as a roommate is fun. Sharing a room with Kim is fun because Kim is amusing.

When Kim is your roommate, you have fun because he amuses you.
