One question I wrote you this on another post and use FOLLOWING YOUR EXAMPLE, how would you say the sentence

Following your example "Our offer will depend on the number of copies we already have." I assume you would word the sentence like : "Your going to a good college depends on the grades you get."

The reason I changed your original sentence was because of the repetition of "wrote," it sounds awkward although it's not technically incorrect. I don't know how other languages treat the kind of repetition that appears in your original sentences but, as you may have noticed, English doesn't especially like it. Of course, as with any rule of thumb, it's not an iron-clad requirement that you avoid repetition at all costs but you should do so whenever you can.

Here are some further ways you could word your original sentences:
I followed up on what you wrote and came up with my own examples.
Following up on what you wrote, I decided to offer some additional examples of my own.
As a follow up to what you wrote, I decided to offer my own examples.

As to whether you use "on" or "to" I don't think there's a rule, as is the case with much of preposition use it's pretty much just convention. Notice that two of your examples use "on" and one uses "to."

alc24I assume you would word the sentence like : "Your going to a good college depends on the grades you get."

Your example is fine.
