FULL STOP

Are the full stops in their correct spots below?....thank you.....this is for BE....

He believed in the proverb 'Dead men tell no tales'. (OUTSIDE)

She hated his ungrammatical sentence 'They was here last night'. (OUTSIDE)

She said, 'They were here last night.' (INSIDE)

That's where I would put them.

I'd put them all outside; to me the full stop marking the end of the sentence takes priority over the full stop marking the end of the sentence quoted. I must stress that this is my personal practice, not advice about what is 'correct'.
