0Hi02br 02br 00Could anyone explain to me why you receive a FULL driving licence when you pass the test. Why don't people just say "a driving licence", I mean without mentioning "full" ? Is that not precise enough ?02br 02br 00thank you02br 02br 00cheyenne0-

0Actually, I have never heard that phrase, Cheyenne-- what part of the Wild West are you from? In my experience, we first get a 'learner's license/permit' and then are issued a 'driver's license' upon successful completion of written and practical driving tests.0-
0 Some jurisdictions have intermediate licenses that are in between a learner's permit and a full license. They are almost the same as a full license, but have certain restristrictions, such as not driving at certain times, etc.0-
0 Oh yes, we also have an 'automatic license (to drive automatic cars only and not manual cars) that wouldn't really be counted as a full license, even though you are no longer a learner. 0-
