FSX v X-plane

It seems Bill and his mob are about ready to release FSX. Has anyone used any of the pre-release versions?

Last week I came across Austin Meyer's X-Plane. Brilliant. It gives a vastly superior rendition of terrain relief to FS2004 (FS8?).

I'm keen to hear whether anyone has done a comparison of X-Plane (with its 60+Gb of world scenery) with FSX.

2007 may be quite a good year for flying!
