I have a few questions to ask. Why can't I say,

(a) After an hour, he reached there. ( reached there = reached the destination, right?)

(b) He brought Li Meng to visit the vegetables / vegetable farm and (an) orchard.

( Why can't we use "visit"? )

(Which is correct? "vegetables / vegetable farm and (an) orchard" ?)
