fruit and fruits

Please advise which of the following sentences is correct:

My favorite fruit is apples and odranges.

My favorite fruits are apples and odranges.

My favorite sport is tennis and basketball.

My favorite sports are tennis and basketball.

I think the following are correct:

My favorite fruits are apples and odranges.

My favorite sports are tennis and basketball.

But I am confused as 'fruit' is not a countable noun and often exit in sigular form and is supposed to be followed by a singular verb. And as to 'sports', we often say: My favorite sports is tennis. Is it OK as well to say:
