Frown mark

Hello,

could you tell me, please, what is it a "frown mark". I found it in the following context:

"He was a tall well-made man with a handsome face, dead blue eyes, and a single frown mark, as black as charcoal, right above his nose."

Is it a "wrinkle"? Why is it black then? Is it because the man was perhaps a black man?

Thanks for replies.

I've never heard this term before. I've heard of "laugh lines" - wrinkles around the cheeks and eyes.
