From whom

A Japanese lady has asked me to correct her English.

She wrote something like, "I have nobody whom to ask for food donations."

I don't use "whom" very often when I write in English. Would the following correction be okay?

I don't have anyone from whom I could request food donations.

Is my use of "from whom" okay?

Thank-you for your help. She is in Japan.

  • Yes.
  • That's fine.
  • But you can also just leave out "whom" in the original: I have nobody to ask for food donations.

Yes. That's fine. But you can also just leave out "whom" in the original:

I have nobody to ask for food donations.

Or, another version without "whom":

There's nobody I can ask for food donations.
