From or by?

Hi,
I feel so confused about the use of "from" or "by" in this specific context:

"I need confirmation from \by fair´s authorities" ?

In this case I used "confirmation" but in other cases I would need to say "answer", "feedback", "approval", "permission".

Can you please suggest?

Thank you!!

I think you would do well if you used 'from' in this sentence.
It would also be appropriate to use 'from' when using 'answer', feedback, 'approval', 'permission'.
You could also use I need the fair authorities' confirmation/approval/feedback/permission/answer if you wish to do away with 'from' altogether.

Hope this was useful.

"From" would be the normal preposition in each of those.
