From my point of view, cell phones should be banned at school. First, it is a temptation for students to check their social media and other network during the lesson. According to a survey in 2017,over 90% of students use mobile phones in class for purposes unrelated to their work. Second, using cellphones at classroom will reduce the student’s activities. They might not interact with their teachers; therefore, teachers often feel in competition for students’ attention. Besides, I do believe that if students keep playing with their phones during class, they are disrespectful to the teachers. In addition, cell phones addiction creates mental health issues. It brings them many negative psychological effects such as sleep deficit, anxiety, stress and depression. However, mobile phones can enhance student’s learning if they know how to take full advantage of it. In conclusion, I totally agree with an ban on using cell phones in class.
