From my intern experience in a marketing firm, I understand

Hi,

I gained experience (few months intern) in a marketing firm few years ago.
Now I apply for a job in a marketing firm.

I want to tell the employer that
“when I think about the marking experience clearly, I know that a career in marketing is suitable for me.”

Can I say

From my intern experience in a marketing firm, I understand that a career in marketing is suitable for me.

I am not sure what point you are trying to convey. Is it that, you have gained confidence that you enjoy marketing, or that you know that you are good at it? Either way, I would recommend instead saying something specific that you learned or realized by working at (name of company).
