From a song

Vertigo by U2 writes:

1) (...)The jungle is your head
Can't rule your heart
A feeling so much stronger
Than a thought
Your eyes are wide
And though your soul
It can't be bought
Your mind can wander

In your perception "wide" means more "very open" or more "deep/profound", here?
"Though" stands for "also/too"?

2) (...) I'm at a place called Vertigo (¿Dónde está?)
It's everything I wish I didn't know
Except you give me something
I can feel, feel

Could you make "except" more explicit? Does it stand for "but" or something so?

3) (...) I can't stand the beats
I'm asking for the check
The girl with crimson nails (...)

"Check" is the bill?

4) (...) But you give me something
I can feel, feel
(Check it)
(Shots fall)
(She'll make it in yeah)
All this, all of this can be yours

The sentences in parenthesis are whispered. What do they mean? a) I'm giving a look? Give a look? b) She's very pretty? c) She will be able to do that (?)?

Thanks in advance for your patience

0 I'm convinced what you wrote on poetry is true. Nontheless the first meaning of the sentence (put aside the following individual interpretation) should be clear. Your expressione "light through a prism" is clear: uses the words in a clear way. Light is one thing, prism is another one and they are well known.... Then I may give a personal interpretation and understand something specific and dif
