Friends room

I'm in my friend's room and I tell her that I'm going to wait outside her room, can I say:

I'm going to wait outside, or does that mean: I'm going to wait outside of her place?

Thanks!

It's fine. "I'll wait outside" is a little more common as you have just decided to do it.
