Friendly synonym for "edutainment"?

I am creating a satellite TV service channel lineup card for some senior citizens. One side lists the channels alphabetically, and the other lists channels grouped by genre. I need a word that describes science, nature and history channels such as Animal Planet, Biography, Discovery, the History Channel, NASA TV, TLC, etc.

"Edutainment" and "infotainment" are too derogatory, and seniors may not understand them anyway. "Informational" is too nonspecific. "Educational" implies formal classes. "Enrichment" doesn't work for me either.

Suggestions, anyone?

Why do you think those terms are derogatory? They don't affect me in that way at all. From two respected dictionaries:

ed·u·tain·ment NOUN:

  1. The act of learning through a medium that both educates and entertains.
  2. Any of various media, such as computer software, that educate and entertain.

I don't find the terms derogatory (they do happen to be brand new to me however).

The two terms are certainly not derogatory. They are used quite often nowadays. You mean the "-tainment" part is not serious enough?

How about "Learning" and "Knowledge"?
