Friend in need of surgery

I have a dear friend. She is 49 years old. A single mother of 2 daughters and a grand daughter. She has been unemployed for several years. She has b reast and ovarian cancer. She has been turned down for any and all medical insurance and is need of surgery and recovery. She must raise money to cover her cost of surgery. Who do you recomend she write to for assistance and do you have a letter of this type?

It's a life and death situation.
