Friday Afterwards?

Hi all,

How do I say this
I would like to meet you the Friday after (already mentioned a date ahead)
or the Friday afterwards?

Also, on the opposite, is it "....the Friday before"?

Thank you

Thank you Alphecca,

As written, this is not a clear sentence. In context where you use "Before" or " After", you need to establish a time reference in order for the sentence to make sense. For instance " I'd like to meet you on the Friday after next (Friday). Or "I would like to

Yes, you can say this. Also, the next Friday, the Friday after, the following Friday.

Personally, I say, "Can we meet the following Friday?"

For the reverse: "I'm leaving on September 9. Can we meet the previous Friday?"

You don't need up, after meet.

To give you an example of how confusing this can be:

Suppose it's Mon., Aug. 31st, and you say: "I'll meet you the Fri. after next (Fri.)." Does this mean you'll meet on Sept. 11, or
