Frequency adverbs

Hi

In an "ever" question, such as "Do you ever go to school?" frequency adverbs are often used in the reply "Yes, I always do."

Can this short form reply with the frequency adverb be used with "Do" or "Are" questions?

e.g.

Do you sometimes feed the fish? Yes, I sometimes do.

Are you often happy? Yes, I often am.

I am hearing them a lot, but they do not seem correct to me.

Maybe you will have to adjust your ears. They are fine.
