Frequency adverbs

1. Do you usually take the subway?

Yes, I sometimes take the subway.

Yes, I seldom take the subway.

2. Do you always take the subway?

Yes, I sometimes take the subway.

3. Do you ever take the subway?

Yes, but I seldom take the subway.

Should the answers be yes / no in the above questions? The frequency adverbs are confusing.

Thanks in advance.

I cannot quote a rule right off hand, but the position of your adverbs are exactly what I would say, as a native speaker.

Yes, I seldom take the subway. No, I seldom take it.
